Mixing Tips & Practical Info
- These recipes work whether you measure in grams or milliliters.
50 ml of our direct color weighs approximately 50 g. - For longer or thicker hair, simply multiply the recipe by two or three.
100 g / 100 ml is usually only enough for very short hair or a color block. - Mix a sufficient amount of color at once — it’s better to have too much than too little! Any leftover color can be saved for your next coloring session or mixed with conditioner to help maintain the shade between colorings
- Always do a strand test first to ensure the result is exactly what you want. ❤️
All Herman’s Amazing direct hair colors can be mixed together. When creating your own blends, keep the color wheel and basic color theory in mind to avoid unwanted surprises.
